Warm wood home bar

Dashney Interiors, Briar Hill Traditional

From custom cabinetry and dramatic lighting to temperature-controlled wine walls, our Briar Hill Traditional home bar, is a sophisticated room that balances comfort and craftsmanship. It’s equally perfect for a quiet evening pour or hosting a lively cocktail hour.

Built into the architecture of the home with custom millwork, this bar wraps guests in warm wood tones, moody lighting, and traditional finishes. The layout is highly functional, with open shelving for curated decor and glassware and built-in storage to keep everything within reach but out of sight.

Dashney Interiors - Mount Pleasant Contemporary

The above bar, in our Mount Pleasant Contemporary home, was designed to feel equal parts refined and relaxed.

At the heart of the space is a sleek, central bar island with tailored plaid counter stools that introduce texture and subtle pattern to the otherwise streamlined palette. The dark wood millwork adds depth and richness, while integrated LED shelf lighting brings warmth and a curated feel to the display of books, vessels, and barware.

Note how the bar doesn't overwhelm the space—it integrates beautifully into the overall flow of the home. Built-in shelving, open display space, and subtle under-cabinet lighting make this home bar as practical as it is beautiful.

Wine Room with glass walls and vertically spaced wine bottles

Dashney Interiors, Britannia Contemporary

This striking wine room, in our Britannia Contemporary home, proves that wine storage can be just as much about design as it is about function. Framed in sleek glass panels and outfitted with minimalist racking, the space offers a gallery-like experience—turning a practical feature into a sculptural centerpiece.

Wine rooms aren’t just for basements anymore. When designed thoughtfully, they can be integrated into main-level living spaces as architectural features.

Dashney Interiors, Canmore Mountain Modern

Set within a modern mountain home, our Canmore Mountain Modern project, this wine room reimagines rustic elegance with a fresh, contemporary edge.

What truly sets the above wine room apart is the lighting. Instead of traditional sconces or integrated LED strips, oversized white orbs appear to float along the ceiling and walls like clouds drifting through a canyon. This unexpected lighting treatment softens the otherwise linear space and injects a playful sense of whimsy without detracting from the room’s sophistication. It’s sculptural, moody, and unforgettable.

Wine room with dark warm wood work featuring a stone sculpture and glass walls and doors

Dashney Interiors, Park View Traditional

The home bar in our Park Views Traditional home features the interests and cherished memories of the home owners. A gallery wall dedicated to a particularly special show horse is hung upon a striking wall paper in the home owners family’s plaid.

The wine room in the same house is all about art, warmth and transparency. The full-height glass enclosure is beautifully framed by coordinating millwork detailing found in the rest of the basement, and matching bar. This wine room not only protects the bottles in a temperature-controlled environment but also puts the collection on display like curated artwork. Speaking of artwork, how could we not mentioned the sculptural piece which is definitely the spotlight of the room.

A well-designed home bar should offer more than just function—it should tell a story. Use a rich material palette, thoughtful lighting, and built-in display space to create an environment that feels both elevated and inviting. Whether hosting a crowd or enjoying a quiet nightcap, this space proves that your home bar can be just as memorable as your favorite lounge.
